Hi, I'm Jacqui.
I welcome people from all walks of life and with a wide range of issues. I have a particular interest in supporting those living with challenges that aren’t always visible to others, including chronic illness, ADHD, autism, hidden struggles, or the quiet battles we carry inside.
I understand how isolating it can feel when others don’t fully see or understand your experience, and I provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, believed, and understood.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and I bring over 20 years of experience as a medical professional within the NHS.
Alongside my professional background, I have personal experience of living with an invisible illness, which has given me a deep understanding of the challenges that can come with struggles that are not always visible to others. This has shaped my passion for providing compassionate support to those facing their own unseen difficulties.

I am a person-centred counsellor, which means my focus is on you—your experiences, feelings, and journey. I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and change when met with empathy, acceptance, and authenticity.
My role is not to give advice, but to walk alongside you with warmth and understanding as you explore what feels difficult. Together, we can work towards greater self-awareness, clarity, and a stronger sense of yourself.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step. In our first session, we’ll gently explore what brings you here and what you hope to gain, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Person-centred counselling is a client-focused approach where you are at the heart of the process. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space, offering empathy, understanding, and acceptance. Together, we explore your feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you, helping you gain clarity, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of yourself.
Counselling is for anyone who feels they would benefit from being listened to with warmth and understanding.
That depends on you. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer longer-term work. We’ll review together as we go.
Yes. What you share in counselling is private, with a few exceptions that I’ll explain in our first session.
You can easily book a session by clicking the “Book Now” button, which takes you to my Counselling Directory automatic booking calendar. Alternatively, you can email me or complete the contact form, and I’ll get back to you to arrange a convenient time.
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and am a registered member of the BACP and HCPC. I also bring over 20 years of experience as a medical professional within the NHS and have personal experience of living with invisible illness, which helps me understand the challenges it can bring. I provide a safe, supportive space where your experiences can be heard, valued, and understood.
